Expansion of the Vaudreuil-Dorion medical center

Vaudreuil-Dorion

2012

6 000 000$

The Vaudreuil-Dorion medical center wishes to expand in order to continue to meet the needs of the local population and to offer the highest quality services in the medical field.

The proposed new volume of 66,361 square feet was first and for most intended to harmonise the appearance of the building. The choice of materials proposed was inspired by the existing materials of the building. Endicott’s Manganese Ironside brick is identical to the existing one, and is used in tandem with a new white brick of the same module to create contrasting plays in the volume. The entrances to the building are clearly identified to facilitate access to the building by users. Pedestrians on Harwood will have an entrance directly accessible from the road. A new entrance is also created opposite the outdoor parking lot to accommodate people coming from the parking lot.
